Daily Real Estate Briefing: Ho Chi Minh City Accelerates Key Projects as Market Health Report Is Required
Vietnam’s real estate market is seeing a series of notable developments as improving transparency and promoting growth remain key priorities. The Government has assigned the Ministry of Construction to report in November on the market’s “health”, focusing on supply, liquidity, prices, transactions and inventories. In Ho Chi Minh City, the city has proposed land-rent exemptions, tax incentives and shortened procedures for outlet shopping center projects that meet specific area criteria. The city is also accelerating public investment disbursement and the progress of major projects, including the Moc Bai Expressway, Metro Line No. 2 and the Xuyen Tam Canal. Notably, four land lots in Thu Thiem, with a total area of nearly 43,000 square meters, have been allocated to Dai Quang Minh Company as payment under the BT contract for the Thu Thiem 2 Bridge project, now known as Ba Son Bridge. The Politburo has also concluded on the Ho Chi Minh City master plan with a 100-year vision, requiring it to serve as a tool for development and efficient urban spatial organization.
